How to transport and store cake correctly?

1. On warm days ensure that the cars air conditioning is turned on and on full blast.
2. Place cake upright on your lap (out of the sun) and hold it steady or use a non-slip mat and place the cake in the boot on a flat surface. DO NOT place it on the seat or in a slanted position as your cake will fall apart.
3. Drive slowly and carefully around corners.
4. Once you have reached your destination, place the cake into the refrigerator and removed at least 30 minutes before serving. If cake is left out to be displayed, ensure that it is in an upright position, out of the sun and in a cool place.
5. Left over cake should be stored in an airtight container, either in or out the refrigerator.

How do I order my cake?

Click on the WhatsApp icon on the site, send us your ideas (Photos are welcomed) as well as your date and time for collection and we will send you a quotation with all the details you need to know.

Do I need to refrigerate my cake?

You will receive a cake instruction guide from us on the collection of your cake.

How far in advance do I need to order my cake?

At least 3 days in advance.

What are the cake serving sizes you offer?

What are my flavour choices?

Vanilla, Chocolate, Red Velvet, Carrot, Lemon, Orange, Passion fruit, and New York Baked Cheesecake.

Can I mix 2 or more flavours with my cake?

All our cakes have multilayers so you are welcome to make each layer a different flavor.

I am allergic to nuts, Is it safe to order a cake?

Yes, I am also allergic to nuts and I do not cross-contaminate so yes it is very safe.

Do you work with fondant or buttercream?

Both Option is entirely up to you, however with stacked cakes with loads of detail I advise using fondant on the outside.

Who will make my wedding cake?

The professional chef, myself is the only baker of wedding cakes.

How are wedding cakes priced?

Flavour, size, and decoration are factors that determine cake pricing.

Do you provide cake stands?

Yes, we do, at an extra additional cost.

What are my filling choices?

Fresh fruit, buttercream, cream cheese frosting, Bavarian cream, chocolate mousse, and caramel to name a few.

How long does my cake remain fresh for?

If it’s stored correctly in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Can you make sugar flowers; If I choose fresh blooms, Will you work with my florist?

We grow our own organic roses; therefore, we suggest only using our flowers as we do not know how florists have treated/ handled their flowers. Yes, we do make sugar flowers, however, they are more expensive than fresh organic flowers

What is your ordering process like?

You can make an appointment to see me as I work by appointment only due to my busy schedule. For your convenience WhatsApp, me your ideas, photos, and date of collection, and I will gladly quote you accordingly. The final step will be to collect the cake on the day requested.

Do you accept card payment?

Yes, we accept all major credit and debit cards. Our banking details are stipulated on the quote for your convenience.

Can you suggest cheaper options?

Yes however quality will be compromised and we do not suggest going this route.

Do you deliver?

Unfortunately, not. All cakes are collected by our clients on the date requested.

Can I pay cash on collection?

Unfortunately, not as I require a deposit due to preparation costs.

Are you a registered business?

Yes, we are CIPCC registered.

Are you a qualified baker?

Yes, I am, I have 2 diplomas in cookery and patisserie.

What happens if I do not collect my cake on time?

The freshness of the cake will be compromised and not guaranteed. Please note that cakes not collected within 1 day will be discarded.

After confirmation and payment, Can I change the date of collection?

This will result in additional charges.

long will my online order take to process and when will I receive my product?

All orders will be processed within 24 hours of purchase if there are no technical issues(Loadshedding) and will be ready for collection within 48 hours.
